Vegetable beef stir-fry...

...made with vegetables and herbs from my dad's garden...







...the morning Nick and I left San Antonio, my dad handed me a wrapped bundle of vegetables from his garden that included zucchini, Thai basil, and Chinese string beans. It was very touching that after 4 days of non-stop preparation for my sister's wedding with very, very little sleep (and at five in the morning) - he hadn't forgotten about his other daughter...







...we used lots and lots of Thai chili peppers crushed with garlic and a little salt in the mortar and pestle Nick gave me a few Christmases ago...







...everything was fried together with some seasoned soy sauce and other spices. I don't use a recipe, so the final product always taste a little different every time...







...I garnished the plate with some Thai basil. I'm a cilantro and basil girl, so either one of these herbs (or both) in any dish makes it wonderful...
