...the perfect blouse for the Fourth of July festivities from Marc by Marc Jacobs...

...2 days and still going strong. I usually have my nails a little longer than this, but in my careless manicure mood I cut them too short...

...I mentioned I bought more Burberry sweaters last week, so here they are. You might think I'm crazy for buying sweaters in the Summer, but it's not so crazy if you work in an ice box...
...let's take a cue from Zuzu and just relax this weekend :)...
...as is customary in our household, her week-long birthday celebration begins today. Here she is enjoying her first gift (she gets one every day this week)...
...we had a hard time taking it away from her (so she wouldn't eat the whole thing), so I would say this one was a hit...
Zuzu is in dire need of a new collar and I was thinking about getting her this LV Baxter collar {yes, I am serious} even though no one will be able to see it because she's so hairy. Maybe. Maybe. Almost-on-the-verge-of-ordering-it-tonight maybe {Except that Nicky is adamantly against it, but that shouldn't stop me. Right?}. She's such a good dog. She deserves something nice and I don't mind spending the money on her.
...{Friday}...
We had big plans for Friday: grab some food to-go from Sentry then picnic at {where else?} Picnic Point. Well...it didn't quite happen that way. I wanted to leave a little early from work to give us enough time to enjoy our picnic before the sun set...but that wasn't possible {very important things needed to be done...like finishing my beer at my desk}. We then decided to just go to Tenney Park, but that didn't happen either {Nicky took a "slight" detour and we realized it wasn't convenient to go in that direction anymore}.
So, finally, we ended up at the Washburn Observatory just when the sun was setting. It was nice...until Zuzu went poopie and then stepped in it. {Needless to say} Nicky was not happy, because she had to sit in the back seat of his car with one poop smeared paw. It.was.hilarious.
...{Saturday}...
{A very nice older lady took the picture of all three of us, but it took her 5 minutes to figure out which button to press on Nicky's camera.}
Saturday was all about college football (Wisc vs. San Jose State - Wisconsin won, of course), but we were able to sneak away for a little bit to give Zuzu a walk on the trail. I love football season {can't wait for NFL Sunday! - Did you see Favre's sour face on Thursday? It was awesome.}. As much as I wanted to root for the Saints last year, I am a die-hard Colts fan so there was no doubt about who I wanted to win. Too bad they lost, but it was nice seeing the city of New Orleans celebrate their win {and boy can they throw a party}.
Oh, and we also had some drinks at the Great Dane {I got Nicky hooked on Mojitos}.
{Plus: I was able to wear my new Alice + Olivia Dress and use my Damier Azur Pochette.}
...{Sunday}...
Sunday = Football. Need I say more? Find us on the couch.
Hope you had a great weekend, too!
{I'm on a photo montage kick (if you haven't noticed). Putting these together was actually fun, so let's see how long this lasts...}
Guess who's going in to work with me tomorrow? Zuzu, of course! I expect most people in the office to start their weekend early, so it will be easier to sneak her in. AND I don't plan on being in the office the whole day, so we'll be able to stop by the dog park on our way home :)
Have a great Thursday-before-Labor-Day!

A Doggy Day
{this picture reminds me of my other puppy doggy...Kiko Bear}
...another Monday, another week...
Zuzu spent most of the day with me at work last Thursday and it was {awesome}! I wish I could bring her with me everyday, but that would be a no-no. The good news is that she was such a hit she's welcome back anytime {just not all the time}!

Hm...maybe I will sneak her in again this week...
Nothing makes me happier than seeing Zuzu happy {even if it means baking in the sun so she can run around the dog park}.

*Updates*
Well, I think Zuzu is slowly getting better as the day progresses {her symptoms are still there...just less frequent} but she's back to barking at other dogs from our balcony and playing with her toys. We've had to fast her for most of the day and just recently gave her a cup of rice to eat. We've also been giving her a lot of water, so she's at least staying well hydrated. Tonight might still be another long night for us, though...
Shopping Update: I ended up getting the Chanel Aviators. Since I bought it locally, they gave me a $25 discount. Yay!

Zuzu is feeling a little better this morning {it was a long night for all of us}, but she's still not well enough to be left by herself so Nicky and I have to run errands in shifts. Nick has the morning shift and I have the afternoon shift, so when he gets back I will be hitting the local mall here to look for some Chanel/Tom Ford sunglasses that will fit in my classic flap.
My baby bear, Zuzu, turned 5 this past June and I can hardly believe it's been that many years since this photo was taken (on the very first day I got her)...
Thankfully, one thing hasn't changed - her kisses are still as sweet as ever...
Of course I can't scoop her up in my arms anymore like a teddy bear (hehe...her dad's name is actually Teddy Bear), but she hasn't lost any of her cuddly cuteness. She has been the most loving, sweet, and not-to-mention most downright adorable companion anyone could ask for. She's my #1 (sorry, Nicky).
