...While in Paris last November, I started every morning of every day at a new Ladurée shop and eventually made it to all the shops in Paris (even the one at the airport). In less than a week, I probably stuffed my face with almost 24 macarons (and I'm not exaggerating).

...That's why I'm so excited to find this Pistachio Macarons with Vanilla Bean White Chocolate Ganache recipe from Baked Perfection. And lucky me, pistachio flavored macarons are my favorite!

...I'm a cupcake fanatic. When Madison got its first gourmet cupcake shop, I almost cried tears of pure joy.

...Now, baking cupcakes myself is a different story. I always end up using too much batter in some and not enough in others, so the whole batch comes out uneven (and that's only one of my problems). I was on the verge of giving up entirely, but this week's recipe interests me.

...These cupcakes are from Made with love by me. Her recipe is a variation of the one found at Bake It in a Cake (both blogs are great resources for fun recipes - although Bake It in a Cake has been down for maintenance). It looks like a lot of work, but could produce some really cute results.

...It's no secret that I love dessert. Honestly, I'm a serious sugar addict and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I love cupcakes, cookies, pies, cakes, ice cream, donuts, plain sugar cubes...pretty much any recipe that requires cups and cups of sugar, so I've decided to devote Sundays to some of my favorite decadent dessert recipes.

...In honor of my dad's birthday yesterday, my first 'Sweet Sundays' post is this lovely birthday cake (of course, if I was in Texas to make it for him it wouldn't be pink).

...You can find the recipe at Sweetapolita - one of my favorite food blogs.
